Menu item transfers (via Finished Product In and Finished Product Out transfers) are primarily meant for a source store to satellite store(s) relationship (where one or more items is prepared by the source store and supplied to satellite stores for sales
When menu items are transferred with either Finished Product In or Finished Product Out selected as the Transfer Type, the sales assumptions (if any) of the source store (the store supplying the product) is automatically applied to the items transferred to the satellite store(s).
If the source store uses suggested ordering, the forecast for all satellite stores and the source store needs to be prepared before creating the purchase order, as the expected demand for transferred items for the satellite stores are taken into consideration when calculating the suggested ordering Ordering quantities calculated by Clearview to meet forecasted demand until the next supplier delivery date, without carrying too much inventory. figures for the source store.
The forecast for the source store will include expected demand of satellite stores only if the menu items are mapped for source and satellite stores.
