This page allows you to generate and view freezer pull charts - charts that provide you with the quantity of inventory items that need to be taken out from the freezer to defrost, to meet the next day's expected demand.

Freezer pull figures can be included in Production Charts. If your organization or store uses production charts and includes thaw time, you don't need to create freezer pull worksheets.

Use the filter Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the beginning of the page to select the Area*, Store and Date for which you'd like to view or generate the freezer pull chart.

  • If a freezer pull chart has not been generated for the day, the page will be titled Set Trend Parameters.

  • If a freezer pull chart has been generated for the day, the page will begin with a Change Parameters button at the top.

Some of the attributes you'll encounter when generating or editing a freezer pull chart are:

  • Number of days history to use: Allows you to select the number of days of past data that you want averaged when calculating the freezer pull figures.

  • Based on last X: (where X is the number selected in Number of days history to use) Allows you to select the days that you would like to use in the calculation.

  • Sales +/-: Lets you update your forecast by adjusting the average for all the items for the day by the percentage entered.

  • Adj. Forecast: Lets you update your forecast by adjusting the average of individual items by the percentage entered.

    The Sales +/- and Adj. Forecast fields are automatically populated when the Freezer Pull control in Inventory Reporting is set to Yes. However, you can override these figures by manually changing the percentage displayed.

TO GENERATE A FREEZER PULL CHART:

  1. Open the Freezer Pull Worksheet page.

  2. Select the Area*, Store and Date for which you want to generate the chart from the drop-down lists.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. For each day displayed on the page:

    1. Select the Number of days history to use from the drop-down list.

    2. Select the days to be used as trend days from the Based on last X drop-down list.

  5. Click on the Continue button.

  6. If you want to change the forecasted sales for all the items for the day by the same percentage:

    The Sales +/- field is automatically populated when the Freezer Pull control in Inventory Reporting is set to Yes. However, you can override the figures by manually changing the percentage displayed.

    1. Make changes to the Sales +/- figure for the day.

    2. Click on the Update button for that day.

  7. Make changes to the Adj. Forecast column to adjust the forecasted sales for individual items, if required.

    The Adj. Forecast field is automatically populated when the Freezer Pull control in Inventory Reporting is set to Yes or if you're changed the Sales +/-. However, you can override the figures by manually changing the percentage displayed.

  8. If you'd like to override all the calculations for an item, enter the quantity you would like pulled from the freezer in the Total column for that item.

  9. Click on the Save button.

    Adjustments can still be made to all fields, except for the Sales +/- field, once the worksheet is saved.

  10. Click on the OK button in the confirmation pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..

  11. Click on the Print Preview button to print the freezer pull chart so that your staff can initial against each item once they are taken out of the freezer to thaw.

TO VIEW A FREEZER PULL CHART:

  1. Open the Freezer Pull Worksheet page.

  2. Select the Area*, Store and Date for which you want to view the chart from the drop-down lists.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Print Preview button.

The following information is displayed in the Today's Freezer Pull window:

  • Store: The store for which the chart was generated.

  • Date: The day for which the freezer pull figures are shown.

  • Item: The inventory item to be pulled from the freezer.

  • Total: Total quantity of the inventory item to be pulled from the freezer during the day.

  • Measure: The package size of the inventory item to be pulled from the freezer .

  • AM: The quantity of the inventory item that needs to be removed from the freezer in the first half of the day.

  • PM: The quantity of the inventory item that needs to be removed from the freezer in the second half of the day.

  • Initial: Space for the employee responsible to initial once the item is pulled from the freezer.

Freezer pull quantities are calculated by averaging the actual usage of the items for the past days selected by you when creating the chart. If the Freezer Pull control is set to Yes, the averaged figures are adjusted with forecasted data.

TO EDIT A FREEZER PULL CHART:

  1. Open the Freezer Pull Worksheet page.

  2. Select the Area*, Store and Date for which you want to view the chart from the drop-down lists.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Change Parameters button to make changes to the trend dates.

  5. For each day displayed on the page:

    1. Select the Number of days history to use from the drop-down list.

    2. Select the days to be used as trend days from the Based on last X drop-down list.

  6. Click on the Continue button.

  7. Make changes to the Adjustment or Total columns as required.

  8. Click on the Save button.

Associated Settings

  • Inventory Reporting controls whether forecasted data should be used to calculate freezer pull quantities or not.

  • Freezer Pull controls the inventory items that are included in the freezer pull worksheet.
