Forecasts are created using an average of your past sales captured in CLEARVIEW. To ensure reliable results, make sure your sales data is accurate before you begin creating forecasts.
Forecasts impact your inventory through purchase orders. The Suggested Ordering option uses forecasted sales to make suggestions on which products, and what quantities, to order. When your forecasts are accurate, you can create purchase orders in just a few clicks, and you’ll still have the option to tweak the order as desired.
You can also account for upcoming promotions and the associated increase in demand for certain menu items. The Promotions setting allows you to create promotions that are tracked in CLEARVIEW and factored into your forecasts, with the ability for stores to opt in or out.
Lastly, Production Charts are generated based off of expected, or forecasted, demand. When a quality forecast is in place, your staff can confidently prepare the right quantity of menu items to meet customer needs.
